1st & 2nd Week

We made it through our first week of first grade!  We have learned some new songs and games, wrote our first class book, and are working on writing a special book for each student in the class.

Here are just some things we will be doing this week:

• Language Arts: Writing conventions, why we read, number words, color words, describing words, building stamina for independent reading
• Math: Comparing numbers to 12 (review)
• Social Studies/Science: Personal hygeine, 5 senses
• No Homework (unless work from class was not finished)

 Thanks for remembering to send an apple on a Monday!  The students had fun using all their senses to describe their apples.
