Week 11

Please remember to read everyday, mark on reading log, and keep track of the titles of books read for our 100 book contest.

Reading logs and Math homework are due every Monday.

Here is a peek about a few things we will do in class this week:

•  Language Arts: 
• Spelling: Test Thursday, we made some changes of groups, your child knows what group he/she is in this week.
• (Green Group) it, ip, in, ig word families  -  List of words
• (Orange Group) distinguish between s_, h_ and sh_ words - List of words
• Dictation sentences:  
  1.         Once upon a time there was a bird.
  2.       The big pig can dig a lot.
• Word Wall -  flower, full, bird, animal, fall, cold     (read and spell)
• Comprehension - Expand vocabulary
• Math:  
• Fact Families
• Problem Solving 
• Test
• Social Studies/Science/Art
• Watching a pumpkin grow
• Scarecrow Art
• Safety

 100 Book Contest -  Please keep track of all the books your child reads.  Periodically send in the list and the student will be able to track number of books in our class. For more information, please click on the link to the right titled 100 Books Contest Letter.
