MONDAY NIGHT - Butler Elementary Free Skating Event at Classic Fun Center 5:30 to 8:30. Join in the fun, bring the family, roller skates or scooters.
Please remember to read everyday, mark on reading log, and keep track of the titles of books read for our 100 book contest.
Reading logs and Math homework are due every Monday.

- Language Arts:
- Spelling: Test Friday
- (Green Group) en, in, an, un word families - List of words
- (Orange Group) distinguish between th_ and wh_ words - List of words
- Dictation sentences: 1. Ben can eat some funny green buns.2. Where are the blue and brown vans?
- Word Wall - also, blue, brown, color, gunny, green, like, many, some (read and spell)
- Comprehension - Main idea, details, summarize - On a side note, the students are getting better at "check for understanding" while reading. We have learned many skills and strategies the students are using to help them understand what they read and to be more accurate while reading.
- Math:
- 5 and 10 relationships, tables
- Review fact families, how many more, how many fewer
- Topic Test
- Addition Facts to 12
- Social Studies/Science/Art
- All about Thanksgiving
Nov 14 - Butler Elem at Classic Fun Center, admission free for skating ($1 skate rental)
Nov 17 (this Thursday) Picture Retake day
Nov 14, 16, 17 - Callahan out for 2 district meetings and 1 funeral :(
Nov 22 - "Thankful for Books" Read-A-Thon 9:00 to 11:00 - Students may bring a blanket, pillow, flashlight, and a nut-free snack.
Nov 22 - early dismissal
Nov 23 - 25 - Thanksgiving break, no school
Nov 24 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Thanks to Ellie's grandma who came in to read a book to the class. She was very generous and donated 2 darling Thanksgiving books for our class!!!
