Wow!! We are almost to our 100th day of school! 5 more school days and then it will be the 100th DAY!!! Make sure the list of books are still coming in so all can participate in the Principal Sundae.
February 6th is 100th day, we have lots of fun activities planned. If the student do not complete the 100 book contest, they still get to do the 100th day activities, they will not be able to do the Principal Sundae. We still need lots of volunteers for Feb 6th, please let me know if you can attend! So far only 2 parents from our class have volunteered.
Here are a few things we will be doing this week:
Language Arts:
- Spelling (everyone on same list this week) - long i sound and short i sound focusing on i_e spellings List of Words
- Dictation Sentences:
- Give the white fish a bite of cake.
- Her little pig slid down the slide.
- Word Wall Words - was, our, little, her, good, give, fly, try (Quiz Friday)
- Comprehension - visualize, infer, monitor
- We will be writing (draft, edit, rewrite) about the snowmen we made.
- Numbers to 100, skip counting, more and fewer
- Earth's water
